Prof. Lalit Garg, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology,Malta

Pr.Lalit Garg is an Information Technology innovator, academician, learner, teacher, developer, keynote speaker, Consultant, and researcher with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry and an excellent research publication record. He is skilled in solving complex problems using machine learning, and data analytics, especially in the medicine and healthcare domain. He is an Associate Professor in Computer Information Systems at the University of Malta, Msida, Malta and an honorary lecturer at the University of Liverpool, UK. He has also worked as a researcher at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and the University of Ulster, UK. He has supervised more than 180 Masters’ dissertations, guided 5 PhD theses, and shaped the future of many other students. He has published over 150 technical papers in refereed high-impact journals, conferences and books, and some of his articles have been awarded best paper awards. He has delivered more than 20 keynote speeches in different countries, organised/chaired/co-chaired many international conferences and contributed as a technical committee member or a reviewer of several high-impact journals and reputed conferences. He participates in many EU and locally funded projects, including a one million euro Erasmus+ Capacity-Building project in Higher Education (CBHE), titled Training for Medical education via innovative eTechnology (MediTec) and Malta Council of science and technology’s Space Research Funds. The University of Malta has awarded him the 2021-22 Research Excellence Award for exploring Novel Intelligent Computing Methods for healthcare requirements forecasting, allocation and management (NICE-Healthcare). He was awarded a research studentship in Healthcare Modelling to carry out his PhD research studies in the faculty of computing and engineering at the University of Ulster, UK and his PhD research was nominated for the Operational Research Society Doctoral Prize « Most Distinguished Body of Research leading to the Award of a Doctorate in the field of OR ». He completed his Post Graduate in Information Technology from ABV-IIITM, Gwalior, India and his first degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Barkatullah University, Bhopal, India. He has consulted numerous public and private organisations for their information system implementations.

Dr. Mohamed Hamdi,Higher School of Communication of Tunis, Sup’Com, University of Carthage, Carthage, Tunisia

Dr. Mohamed Hamdi (PhD, habilitation) is the founding director of Elgazala Innovation Center where he leads the supervision of innovative startup projects. He co-authored more than 150 scientific publications published in international journals and conferences. He was the chair of the ‘Cloud security’ industry forum in the IEEE ICC’12 conference (Ottawa, Canada). He has also chaired and co-chaired international conferences and special issues in international conferences including the ‘Trust, Security, and Privacy’ symposium in the IEEE IWCMC 2012 conference and for the special issue on ‘Web Services in Multimedia Communication’ for the journal on Advances in Multimedia. He presented multiple tutorials and invited speeches in international conferences such as the GEOSS Forum (Globecom 2011). In addition, Dr. Hamdi has been invited at the ITU World Telecom conference to serve as a panellist in a forum on the security of social networks. He also passed prestigious professional certifications including the CISSP and the CISCO Security certifications. He is conducting research activities in the areas of cloud security and assurance, Internet of things, and security incident handling. Between 2001 and 2005, he worked for the National Digital Certification Agency (Tunisia) where he was the leader of the security risk management team.

Dr.Muhammad Attique Khan,Department of Computer Science,HITEC University,Taxila, Pakistan

Dr.Muhammad Attique Khan is a Computer Science Department Assistant Professor at HITEC University,Taxila,Pakistan.He earned his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Human Activity Recognition for the Application of Video Surveillance and Skin Lesion Classification using Deep Learning from COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan. His primary research focus in recent years is medical imaging, COVID-19, MRI analysis, Video Surveillance, Human Gait Recognition, and Agriculture Plants using Deep Learning. He has above 260 publications that have more than 9200+ citations and an impact factor of 750+ with an h-index of 57 and i-Index of 155. In addition, he is reviewer of several reputed journals such as IEEE transaction on Industrial Informatics, IEEE transaction of Neural Networks, Pattern Recognition Letters, Multimedia Tools and Application, Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, IET Image Processing, Biomedical Signal processing Control, IET Computer Vision, Eurasipe Journal of Image and Video Processing, IEEE Access, MDPI Sensors, MDPI Electronics, MDPI Applied Sciences, MDPI Diagnostics, and MDPI Cancers.

 

Dr.Madhusanka Liyanage

Madhusanka Liyanage is currently an Assistant Professor/Ad Astra Fellow and Director of Graduate Research at the School of Computer Science, University College Dublin, Ireland. He is also a Docent/Adjunct Professor at the Center for Wireless Communications, University of Oulu, Finland, and Honorary Adjunct Professor of Network Security, The Department of Electrical and Information Engineering, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka and The Department of Electrical and electronic Engineering, University of Sri Jarawardhenepura, Sri Lanka. He received his B.Sc. degree (First Class Honours) in electronics and telecommunication engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, in 2009, the M.Eng. degree from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand, in 2011, the M.Sc. degree from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, Nice, France, in 2011, and the Doctor of Technology degree in communication engineering from the University of Oulu, Oulu, Finland, in 2016. From 2011 to 2012, he worked as a Research Scientist at the I3S Laboratory and Inria, Sophia Antipolis, France. He also received the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowship and Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellowship during 2018-2020. During 2015-2018, he has been a Visiting Research Fellow at the CSIRO, Australia, the Infolabs21, Lancaster University, U.K., Computer Science and Engineering, The University of New South Wales, Australia, School of IT, University of Sydney, Australia, LIP6, Sorbonne University, France and Computer Science and Engineering, The University of Oxford, U.K. He is also a senior member of IEEE. In 2020, he received the « 2020 IEEE ComSoc Outstanding Young Researcher » award by IEEE ComSoc EMEA. In 2021 and 2022, he was ranked among the World’s Top 2% Scientists (2020 & 2021) in the List prepared by Elsevier BV, Stanford University, USA. Also, he was awarded an Irish Research Council (IRC) Research Ally Prize as part of the IRC Researcher of the Year 2021 awards for his positive impact as a supervisor. In 2022, he received « 2022 The Tom Brazil Excellence in Research Award » by SFI CONNECT Center. Moreover, Madhusanka received a Special Commendation for IRC Early Career Researcher of 2022 by Irish Research Council, Ireland.
